National Commission for Minorities invites applications for Consultant on Contractual Basis

New Delhi, December 3, 2025 — The National Commission for Minorities (NCM) has invited applications from retired officers of Deputy Secretary, Director, or equivalent level from Central Government Ministries and Departments for engagement as a Consultant on a contractual basis. The notification was issued through the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT).

The engagement will be short-term and fee-based, initially for six months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and functional requirements. The consultant will be responsible for work related to establishment, general administration, budget and accounts, research and development, RTI matters, and other assigned tasks. Knowledge of computer operations and e-office is mandatory.

Applicants must be below 62 years of age as of December 5, 2025. Remuneration will be fixed as per Government guidelines, with transport allowance and TA/DA for official travel. No other allowances or employment benefits will be provided. The consultant is required to maintain strict confidentiality, comply with the India Official Secrets Act, and will not represent or advise any party against the interests of NCM during or within two years of the engagement.

Interested and eligible retired officers must submit their applications, along with bio-data, CV, and relevant documents, by 5th December 2025 to the Under Secretary, National Commission for Minorities, Block-14, 1st Floor, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003, or via email. Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview, and no TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.

The NCM reserves the right to accept or reject applications, cancel the advertisement, or terminate the consultant contract at any stage without assigning any reason.
