Railway Board Deputes Ashish Kumar Arya to IRCON as CGM Electrical in Patna
New Delhi, 12 March 2026: The Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) has approved the deputation of Ashish Kumar Arya, an officer of the Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers (IRSEE), to IRCON International Limited.
According to the official order issued by the Railway Board, Arya has been appointed as Chief General Manager (Electrical) at Patna in IRCON.
Deputation Period and Role
Ashish Kumar Arya, who was previously serving as Senior Divisional Safety Officer (Sr. DSO) in Danapur Division of East Central Railway, will serve on deputation for three years starting from June 16, 2023, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
The deputation is subject to IRCON’s exemption from the rule of immediate absorption, as per the official communication.
Pay and Allowances
During the deputation period, the officer will receive the same pay that would have been admissible on the Railways, along with deputation (duty) allowance, in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
However, special pay, if any, drawn during the railway service will not be included in the deputation pay calculation.
Administrative and Service Conditions
The order also clarified that:

The Principal Financial Adviser (PFA) of East Central Railway, Hajipur, will remain the concerned authority for matters related to travelling allowance, medical facilities, leave, retirement benefits, and group insurance scheme.

The deputation has been issued after vetting by the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways.
