Pawan Jeet Singh Re-designated as Director in Agriculture Research Department
New Delhi, March 13, 2026: The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has approved the re-designation of the post currently held by Pawan Jeet Singh, an Indian Ordnance Factory Service (IOFS) officer of the 2012 batch, from Deputy Secretary to Director in the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE).
The decision was issued through an Office Memorandum dated March 13, 2026, by the Office of the Establishment Officer in New Delhi.
Tenure Under Central Staffing Scheme
According to the memorandum, the re-designation has been approved as a measure personal to the officer and will take effect from the date he assumes charge of the re-designated post.
The tenure will continue until October 15, 2030, which represents the maximum admissible five-year deputation period under the Central Staffing Scheme.
Deputation Began in October 2025
The order also noted that Pawan Jeet Singh’s central deputation tenure began on October 16, 2025.
He is currently serving in the Department of Agricultural Research and Education, which functions under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and oversees policy coordination for agricultural research institutions in India.
Approval by Competent Authority
The proposal for the re-designation was cleared by the Competent Authority following a recommendation from the department, according to the DoPT communication issued from Kartavya Bhawan in New Delhi.
The order was signed by Annies Kanmani Joy, Director (MM) at the Department of Personnel and Training.
