IIM Jammu Organizes Blood Donation Camp
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu under the leadership of Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, in collaboration with Thalassemia Welfare Society, Jammu, and Govt. Medical College Jammu, organized a Blood Donation Camp at its Jagti Campus on 06th Aug 2025. This initiative showcased IIM Jammu’s steadfast commitment to community service and social responsibility.
The camp drew enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and staff, reaffirming the institute's ethos of fostering a culture of empathy and altruism. Around 84 donors from IIM Jammu fraternity participated in the blood donation drive.
The camp, conducted with the support of Thalassemia Welfare Society and medical professionals from Govt. Medical College Jammu, ensured that all protocols and safety measures were meticulously followed. It aimed to highlight the critical role of blood donation in saving lives and addressing medical emergencies, thereby instilling a sense of civic duty among the participants. The blood donation drive was inaugurated by Prof. Nitin Upadhyay, Dean Academics, IIM Jammu, and Dr. Dhruv, Medical Officer, IIM Jammu, in the presence of Dr. Ashish Kumar, Chairperson, Student Affairs, Cmdr. Kesavan Baskkaran, Chief Administrative Officer, medical professionals from Government Medical College Jammu, the Thalassemia Welfare Society, and IIM Jammu.

Participants expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to this life-saving initiative, reinforcing IIM Jammu’s mission to create meaningful societal impact.

The event was coordinated by the Student Affairs Office at IIM Jammu, which played a pivotal role in ensuring seamless organization and execution.
