Maruti Suzuki Launches e VITARA EV at ₹10.99 Lakh with Battery Subscription Model

Mumbai, February 17, 2026: Maruti Suzuki India Limited has officially commenced sales of its much-anticipated electric SUV, the e VITARA, marking a significant step in India’s electric mobility transformation.

The e VITARA Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) is introduced at an introductory BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) price starting at ₹10.99 lakh, along with a battery subscription cost of ₹3.99 per km. The innovative dual-loan BaaS model removes the upfront battery cost, making EV ownership more accessible and affordable for customers.

Customers can explore the vehicle, schedule test drives, and complete bookings through NEXA showrooms across India or via the official NEXA website. The booking amount has been set at ₹21,000.

The announced BaaS pricing applies to the e VITARA 49kWh model and is structured for personal use. The cost calculation assumes an average driving distance of 60 km per day and excludes charging costs as well as statutory levies such as road tax, insurance, TCS, and other government charges. Final approval of the finance scheme remains subject to individual financial institutions’ terms and conditions.

With this launch, Maruti Suzuki strengthens its commitment to sustainable mobility while aiming to accelerate EV adoption in the Indian market.
