Mumbai, September 1, 2026: Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited reported a strong sales performance in August 2026, with total passenger vehicle sales rising 56% year-on-year to 67,753 units.
The company had sold 43,315 units in August 2025.

EV sales lead the growth
Tata Motors' electric vehicle sales almost doubled during August. EV volumes increased from 8,540 units in August 2025 to 16,549 units, marking a 94% year-on-year jump.
The EV figure includes both domestic and international sales and includes volumes from Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited.
Domestic sales remain the main driver
Domestic passenger vehicle sales climbed 59% to 65,253 units, compared with 41,001 units a year earlier.
International sales also grew, reaching 2,500 units from 2,314 units in August 2025.
