T.K. Batra CGM of National Fertilizers Ltd promoted as Executive Director of Board

New Delhi, 1 September 2026: State-run National Fertilizers Ltd has announced some significant changes in the board of the company. Shri T.K. Batra, Chief General Manager (Bathinda Unit Head), has been promoted as Executive Director of the Company w.e.f. 01.09.2026. Shri J. Ramesh has ceased to be Executive Director (F&A) of the company w.e.f. 01.09.2026, consequent to attaining the age of superannuation on 31.08.2026.

Shri Tarun Kumar Batra is a chemical engineer with over 38 years of experience in the fertilizer industry. He joined National Fertilizers Limited (NFL) in 1988 as a management trainee and has held various positions of increasing responsibility at NFL's Nangal, Vijaipur, and Bathinda units.

He has extensive experience in ammonia-urea plant operations, commissioning, plant stabilization, maintenance, projects, energy optimization, and overall unit management.

He also served on deputation with Ramagundam Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (RFCL), where he was associated with the stabilization of the newly commissioned fertilizer complex. He is presently serving as Chief General Manager and Unit Head of NFL's Bathinda Unit since 29.02.2024. He holds a B.E. in chemical engineering from NIT Durgapur and an MBA in finance. He has been associated with several major plant revamp, energy-efficiency, and operational improvement initiatives during his career.
