Government promotes two IRS Income Tax officers as Principal CCIT under CBDT
Further, six officers of the IRS (IT) have been promoted to the grade of Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (CCIT) at Level 16 of the Pay Matrix (HAG) for the panel year 2026 under CBDT.
New Delhi, 1 September: The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has promoted two income tax officers to the rank of Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (PCCIT) in Level 17 of the Pay Matrix (Apex Scale) on an in-situ basis for the panel year 2026.
Further, six officers of the IRS (IT) have been promoted to the grade of Chief Commissioner of Income Tax (CCIT) at Level 16 of the Pay Matrix (HAG) for the panel year 2026 under CBDT. These officers are named as follows:
