Maruti Suzuki August 2026 Sales: 2.19 Lakh Units, Crosses 1 Million Milestone in FY27

Maruti Suzuki India Limited sold 219,220 vehicles in August 2026, with strong domestic passenger vehicle sales helping the company cross the 1 million-unit total sales milestone within the first five months of FY 2026-27.

The company reported its August sales figures on September 1, 2026.

August Sales at a Glance

Maruti Suzuki's total August sales included:

• Domestic sales: 180,078 units

• Sales to other OEMs: 5,298 units

• Exports: 33,844 units

• Total sales: 219,220 units

Total sales increased from 180,683 units in August 2025 to 219,220 units in August 2026.

Utility Vehicles Lead Passenger Vehicle Sales

The company's Utility Vehicle segment recorded sales of 79,045 units in August 2026, up from 54,043 units a year earlier.

Passenger car sales stood at 85,965 units, compared with 66,450 units in August 2025, while van sales reached 11,961 units.

Including light commercial vehicles, Maruti Suzuki's domestic sales stood at 180,078 units during the month.

FY27 Sales Cross 1 Million Units

For the April-August 2026 period, Maruti Suzuki recorded 1,143,365 total sales, compared with 889,070 units during the corresponding period of FY2025-26.

Domestic sales including OEM sales stood at 954,729 units, while exports reached 188,636 units during the first five months of FY27.

The company said it surpassed the 1 million-unit mark in total sales within the first five months of FY 2026-27.

What Stands Out

The August numbers show continued strength in Maruti Suzuki's passenger vehicle business, particularly in utility vehicles, while exports also remained a significant contributor to overall volumes.

The company is entering the upcoming festive period with cumulative FY27 sales already above the 1.14 million-unit mark.
