Steel Authority of India Limited Salem Steel Plant has been accorded the Platinum Award in the “Engineering Manufacturing & Processing Industry” category for the year 2024 at the Institution of Engineers India (IEI) Industry Excellence Award.

SAIL Salem Steel Plant has been chosen for this award for its efforts in Sustainable Manufacturing and the Reduction of CO2 emission from 3.01 to 2.65 tons per ton of Crude Steel in the last 2 years.
