Mumbai: Central Bank of India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kudumbashree under the Cent Naari Shakthi Scheme on May 21, 2026, marking a key step toward enhancing women empowerment and inclusive growth initiatives in Kerala.

The collaboration aims to strengthen financial inclusion, expand livelihood opportunities, and support women-led self-help groups through structured banking and credit linkages.

Focus on Women Empowerment and Financial Inclusion

The MoU is designed to promote socio-economic development among women by improving access to credit, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship support under the bank-led empowerment framework.

The initiative aligns with broader rural development and poverty alleviation goals being implemented through Kudumbashree, one of India’s largest community-based women empowerment networks.

Officials Present at the Signing Ceremony

The agreement was formally signed by H Dineshan and Abhijeet Kumar Jha.

The signing took place in the presence of Dharasing Naik K, along with senior officials from both institutions.

Strengthening Rural Livelihood Ecosystem in Kerala

The partnership is expected to enhance coordination between banking services and grassroots livelihood programs, particularly benefiting women entrepreneurs and self-help groups across Kerala.
