ACC Approves Extension of Central Deputation for Two IAS Officers
New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the extension of central deputation tenure for two senior IAS officers serving under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Ms Nirupama J Dange, IAS of the 2007 Maharashtra cadre, who is currently serving as Director of Census Operations and Director of Citizen Registration for Maharashtra, has been granted extension of her central deputation for a total tenure of five years up to December 19, 2027, or until further orders. The post held by the officer will continue to remain upgraded to the level of Joint Secretary up to August 20, 2026, marking the third year of upgradation.
Similarly, Ms Pooja Pandey, IAS of the 2008 Assam Meghalaya cadre, serving as Director of Census Operations and Director of Citizen Registration for Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya, has also received extension of her central deputation tenure for an overall period of five years up to March 16, 2027, or until further orders. The upgradation of her post to the level of Joint Secretary will continue for the third year of her tenure.
The approvals were issued by the Department of Personnel and Training following proposals from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
