New Delhi, March 17, 2026 – The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has cleared a series of important administrative decisions involving senior officers across ministries. The changes include new assignments, tenure extensions, and premature repatriations.

Key Highlights:

  • New Charge at NSEZ:
    Vimal Anand (IRS IT:2003), Joint Secretary, Department of Commerce, has been given additional charge of Development Commissioner, Noida Special Economic Zone (NSEZ) for six months or until a regular appointment.
    The additional charge earlier held by Deen Bandhu Singh has been curtailed.

  • Tenure Extension at DPIIT:
    Nidhi Kesarwani (IAS MN:2004), Joint Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, gets a 2-year extension beyond June 3, 2026.

  • MyGov Leadership Changes:

    • Ex-post approval granted to Nand Kumarum (IAS MP:2008) for holding CEO charge earlier.

    • Ajit Kumar (IAS KL:2006), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, gets additional charge of CEO, MyGov for 6 months.

  • KVIC Financial Adviser Role Extended:
    Simmi Chaudhary (IES 1996) continues as Financial Adviser, KVIC for another six months.

  • FIU-India Leadership Continuity:
    Amit Mohan Govil (IRS IT:1990) gets 6-month extension as Director, Financial Intelligence Unit-India.

  • Tea Board Tenure Extension:
    Arunita Phukan Yadav (IRS C&CE:2011), Executive Director, Tea Board, Guwahati, gets 1-year extension (till May 2027).

  • Premature Repatriations Approved:

    • Narain S. N. (IRTS 2011), Private Secretary to MoS Petroleum & Natural Gas Suresh Gopi, repatriated on personal grounds.

    • Ashutosh Niranjan (IAS UP:2010), Private Secretary to Minister Virendra Kumar, repatriated to avail promotion benefits.
