Mumbai, March 18, 2026: Axis Bank Limited (NSE: AXISBANK, BSE: 532215) has announced that its Board’s Acquisitions, Divestments and Merger Committee approved an investment of ₹1,500 crore into its wholly owned subsidiary, Axis Finance Limited (AFL). The infusion will be executed in one or more tranches before March 31, 2027, through subscription to AFL’s Rights Issue.

The investment has received regulatory approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) via its letter dated March 10, 2026. Axis Finance Limited, incorporated on April 27, 1995, is a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) serving the Indian market, with a turnover of ₹2,504 crore for the half-year ended FY26. The company has consistently expanded over the last three years, with turnovers of ₹4,296 crore (FY25), ₹3,321 crore (FY24), and ₹2,297 crore (FY23).

This strategic investment is aimed at providing growth capital to AFL, enabling it to strengthen its lending and financial services portfolio. Axis Bank will maintain 100% shareholding in AFL post-investment, with the entire transaction being conducted on an arm’s length basis.

The Board meeting approving this investment was held today, March 18, 2026, starting at 9:00 A.M. and concluding at 9:46 A.M. Axis Bank’s management emphasized that this capital infusion aligns with its long-term strategy to bolster its subsidiaries and enhance financial inclusion in India.

The information has also been shared with international exchanges, including the London Stock Exchange and Singapore Stock Exchange.
