Ms. Punya Salila Srivastava Assigned Additional Charge as Secretary, Department of Health Research

New Delhi, February 27, 2026: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the assignment of additional charge of the post of Secretary, Department of Health Research to Ms. Punya Salila Srivastava, IAS (UT: 1993).

Ms. Srivastava, who currently serves as Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, will hold the additional responsibility from February 28 to March 9, 2026, during the period of absence on leave of Dr. Rajiv Bahl, Secretary, Department of Health Research.

The decision was formalized by the Secretariat of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Government of India.

This temporary assignment reflects Ms. Srivastava’s extensive experience and leadership in health administration, ensuring continuity and oversight of key health research initiatives during Dr. Bahl’s leave period.
