REC Foundation Boosts Sports Infrastructure in Manipur
REC Foundation signed an MoA with DRDA Churachandpur on Nov 26, 2025, sanctioning Rs 5.03 Cr under CSR for a Multipurpose Hall-cum-Indoor Stadium to boost badminton/volleyball facilities in Manipur.
To support sports and youth development in the North-East, REC Foundation has signed an MoA with DRDA Churachandpur to build a Multipurpose Hall and Indoor Stadium in Churachandpur, Manipur. The agreement was signed on 26 November 2025 at the REC Corporate Office in Gurugram.
The project will receive Rs 5.03 crore from REC’s CSR initiative. The new facility will offer better spaces for badminton and volleyball, encourage fitness activities, and serve as a lively gathering place for the local community.
The MoA was signed in the presence of Shri Jitendra Shrivastava, IAS, CMD REC Ltd.; Shri Dharun Kumar S, IAS, District Magistrate, Churachandpur; Shri Pradeep Fellows, ED (CSR), REC Ltd.; and other senior officials.
The indoor stadium is expected to help young athletes, promote sports culture, and provide new opportunities for the people of Churachandpur and the wider North-East region.
