Bharat Electronics Limited Chennai and ALIMCO Partner to Provide Assistive Equipment to 709 Divyaangans
Chennai, 9 March 2026: Bharat Electronics Limited, Chennai Unit (BEL-Chennai), in collaboration with ALIMCO, a non-profit CPSE, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today to provide assistive equipment and gadgets to Persons With Disabilities (Divyaangans) in Ramanathapuram and Sivagangai, two aspirational districts of Tamil Nadu.
The MoU was formally signed by Mr. I Jayandran, GM (BEL-Chennai), and Mr. A.V. Ashok Kumar, Sr Manager and Unit Head (APC-ALIMCO), in the presence of Mr. Vikraman N, Director (HR) of BEL.
Under this initiative, a total of 709 Divyaangans will receive specially designed assistive devices and equipment aimed at improving mobility, accessibility, and overall quality of life. The project reflects a joint commitment by both CPSEs to support inclusive development and enable persons with disabilities to participate more actively in society.
