New Delhi: In a significant step towards inclusion and empowerment, the Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.  Karnataka State Office has signed the two major Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth Rs 1.20 crore with ALIMCO for providing aids and assistive devices to Divyangjan under the CSR initiative of IndianOil.

The MoUs were signed in presence of Shri Praveen Kumar, CMD, ALIMCO) and Shri Siddharth Agarwal, Executive Director & State Head, Karnataka, IOCL, Shri Anup Tamuli, Chief General Manager (Retail Sales) and Shri M S Vijayakumar, DGM (CSR).

This CSR initiative will likely to provide essential benefits to Divyangjan from Belagavi, Dakshin Kannada, Bengaluru, and Chamarajanagar districts by providing essential aids and appliances, enabling greater independence, mobility and empowering Divyangjan to lead dignified and productive lives.

ALIMCO (Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India) is a government-owned enterprise (CPSE) of the Government of India, functioning under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, specifically the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD). It is a Not for Profit Public Sector Undertaking focused on manufacturing and distributing assistive devices for persons with disabilities and senior citizens.
