Mumbai: In response to stock exchange queries, state-run aerospace and defence giant Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) confirmed that negotiations with Pawan Hans Limited for the procurement of 10 Dhruv Mk-III Advanced Light Helicopters (ALH-Dhruv NG) are currently underway.
The clarification was issued following a news report about the potential deal. HAL stated that while the contract is still under negotiation, it is expected to be signed upon finalization of terms and conditions. The company emphasised that the agreement will be formally disclosed to the exchanges in compliance with SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, once it is officially signed.
This prospective order aligns with the Government of India’s ‘Made in India’ push in defence manufacturing and could mark a significant domestic procurement for HAL’s advanced rotary-wing platform.
