Recognizing the strategic importance of strengthening quality, innovation and technical excellence in India’s minerals and mining sector, MECL and CSIR–NML have entered into a landmark MoU for joint initiatives in critical mineral exploration.
The collaboration focuses on domain-specific research, technical gap assessment, analytical and implementation support, and the integration of AI and machine learning—aligned with the Government of India’s vision for sustainable and self-reliant mineral development.

The agreement was executed by HoD (Business Development & Commercial), MECL and Chief Scientist & Head, Research Planning and Business Development (RPBD), CSIR–NML, in the presence of senior scientists and officials from both organizations.
