NTPC Faridabad Signs MoU with UPSIC to Support Menstrual Health of School Girls
Ghaziabad, September 9, 2026: NTPC Faridabad has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Uttar Pradesh Small Industries Corporation Ltd (UPSIC), Ghaziabad, to promote health and wellness among adolescent school girls.
Key Features of the Initiative
The partnership aims to create an end-to-end ecosystem within school premises. Under the MoU:

Selected schools will be equipped with automated sanitary napkin vending machines

Modern, eco-friendly incinerators will be installed for safe disposal of menstrual waste

15,000 sanitary napkins will be directly distributed to student beneficiaries
Objective
By integrating menstrual health infrastructure into public education, NTPC Faridabad and UPSIC seek to advance menstrual dignity, empower young girls and foster a more inclusive school environment.
The initiative reflects NTPC’s continued focus on community health and social development through its Corporate Social Responsibility efforts.
