Maharatna CPSE, Oil India Ltd signed three significant Memorandum of Understanding at India Energy Week 2026 at Goa. First agreement has been signed with ONGC Ltd.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Shri Arunangshu Sarkar, Director (S&CA), ONGC, Shri O. P. Sinha, Director (E), ONGC, and Shri Saloma Yomdo, Director (E&D), OIL. The signing ceremony was also graced by the senior officials of ONGC and OIL.
The agreement pertains to formal framework for potential technical collaboration and assessment of partnership in oil & gas exploration opportunities under OALP-X and future bid rounds in Indian Sedimentary Basins.
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and Oil India have also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at India Energy Week (IEW) 2026 to collaborate on the development of a Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) project. The MoU provides a framework for joint efforts aimed at promoting cleaner and more sustainable energy solutions.
The MoU highlights the commitment of both public sector undertakings to clean energy and waste-to-energy initiatives. It aligns with India’s energy transition objectives by supporting a circular economy, reducing carbon emissions, and strengthening the domestic bio-energy ecosystem.
Further, a third MoU has been signed with Bharat PetroResources Limited on 29th January 2026 at India Energy Week 2026 at Goa.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Dr. Ranjit Rath, Chairman & Managing Director, OIL and Shri Vikas, Managing Director, BPRL, and was signed by Shri D. S. Manal, Executive Director (E&D), OIL and Shri Kiran Muniswamy, Vice President (BD), BPRL.
Further, it puts in place a formal framework for collaboration in oil & gas exploration and development opportunities under OALP-X, DSF-IV and future licensing rounds.
