Union Minister Shri G. Kishan Reddy Extends Greetings to Women Employees of CIL on International Women’s Day
New Delhi, March 8, 2026: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Union Minister of Coal and Mines G. Kishan Reddy extended his greetings to women employees of Coal India Limited, emphasising the importance of equality, empowerment, and increased participation of women in the mining sector.
Referring to this year’s theme, “Rights. Equality. Empowerment – For All Women and Girls,” the minister said meaningful progress can only be achieved through fair opportunities and inclusive systems that enable women to succeed across professional fields.
Reddy highlighted that under the leadership of Narendra Modi, India has been moving from a focus on women’s development to women-led development, opening new avenues for women in technical, operational, and leadership positions within the coal and mining industries.
