Coal Ministry holds stakeholder consultation on CSR Framework for Indian coal companies

The Ministry of Coal held a stakeholder consultation on CSR Framework for Indian coal companies at SCOPE Complex under the chairpersonship of Ms. Rupinder Brar, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Coal bringing together CIL, all coal & lignite PSUs, and private companies.

The meeting provided a platform for exchanging experiences, best practices and suggestions on elements to be included in the proposed framework for greater social impact. Discussions focused on driving meaningful community development, advancing environmental sustainability, empowering women, and enhancing the quality of life in mining-affected regions reinforcing the coal sector’s enduring commitment to inclusive and sustainable growth.
