GAIL Appoints Deepak Asija as Company Secretary & Compliance Officer from March 6

New Delhi, February 27, 2026: GAIL (India) Limited (NSE: GAIL-EQ | BSE: 532155) has approved the appointment of Shri Deepak Asija as its new Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, effective March 6, 2026.

The decision was taken at the Board meeting held on February 27, 2026. Shri Asija will succeed Shri Mahesh Kumar Agarwal in the role, in line with the company’s operational requirements.

Profile of Deepak Asija

Shri Deepak Asija is a Commerce graduate from Delhi University, a qualified Company Secretary, and a Law Graduate with over two decades of experience in the secretarial domain.

He joined GAIL in 2004 and served as the Company Secretary of GAIL Gas Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of GAIL, from 2016 until April 2025.

Prior to joining GAIL, he worked with Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) for approximately six years as Deputy Company Secretary.

Regulatory Compliance

The appointment has been disclosed in accordance with the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, under the category of change in Key Managerial Personnel (KMP).

The leadership transition is expected to ensure continued regulatory compliance and strengthen corporate governance practices at GAIL, India’s leading natural gas company.
