NLC India Promotes S. Vijayakumar as Executive Director

NLC India has promoted S Vijayakumar as Executive Director, recognizing his leadership in mining and project management, effective July 1, 2025.

Chennai:  In line with Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, NLC India Limited has announced the promotion of Shri S. Vijayakumar to the position of Executive Director (Senior Management Personnel) of the company, effective July 1, 2025. 

This promotion acknowledges Vijayakumar’s wide-ranging experience, technical knowledge, and leadership in the mining industry. He currently leads the Barsingsar Project, one of NLC’s main mining operations. 

Shri Vijayakumar has a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining) from Anna University, Tamil Nadu, and has completed several certifications, including: 

- 1st Class Mine Manager Competency (DGMS, Ministry of Labour & Employment) 
- MBA in Human Resource Management (IGNOU) 
- Certificate in Project Management (IIT Roorkee)

With over thirty years of mining experience, he previously worked at South Eastern Coalfields Limited in various roles in both open-pit and underground mines. Since joining NLC India in 2016, he has played a key role in managing the Talabira and Barsingsar projects, improving operations and supporting growth.

NLC India stated that the promotion follows current company rules and shows its commitment to developing internal talent and leadership.

The company has filed the regulatory disclosure with both BSE (Scrip Code: 513683) and NSE (Scrip Code: NLCINDIA) and provided the formal profile in Annexure-I, as required by SEBI Circular No. SEBI/HO/CFD/CFD-PoD-1/P/CIR/2023/123 dated July 13, 2023.

This is another important leadership change by NLC India as it works to strengthen its management team in response to increasing infrastructure and energy needs across the country.
