ONGC’s OPaL Appoints B.H. Vasudev Prasad as Managing Director

New Delhi: ONGC Petro additions Limited (OPaL) has appointed Shri B.H. Vasudev Prasad as its new Managing Director. He took charge on 6 September 2026.

Who is B.H. Vasudev Prasad?

Prasad is a Mechanical Engineering graduate with an M.Tech in Engineering Management. He brings more than 36 years of experience in the crude oil refining and hydrocarbon industry.

His expertise covers projects, corporate strategy, marketing, human resources, maintenance, design and engineering, project execution, business operations, and corporate governance.

Previous Role

Before joining OPaL, Prasad served as Executive Director (Projects) at Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL). In that position, he also handled strategic responsibilities in corporate strategy and marketing. He has held several senior management and board-level roles during his career.
