NEW DELHI: India's natural gas giant, Petronet LNG Limited (PLL), has announced a key change in its Board of Directors. Following a fresh nomination from the Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC), Ms. Avantika Singh Aulakh, IAS, has been appointed as the new Nominee Director, replacing Shri Milind Torawane, IAS.

 

Key Board Changes at Petronet LNG

In a regulatory filing on Tuesday, the company confirmed that it received an official communication from GSPC dated December 30, 2025. The letter notified the withdrawal of Shri Milind Torawane’s nomination effective from December 24, 2024. Consequently, Mr. Torawane has ceased to be a director on the company’s board.

To fill the vacancy, GSPC has nominated its current Managing Director, Ms. Avantika Singh Aulakh (IAS), as the Nominee Director (GoG/GMB) on the Petronet LNG board.

Compliance and Regulatory Norms

Petronet LNG stated that this transition is part of its routine corporate governance and is in full compliance with Regulation 30 of SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015. The company further added:

"The details of Ms. Avantika Singh Aulakh (DIN: 07549438) shall be intimated after her formal appointment on the Board in terms of the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013."

Who is Avantika Singh Aulakh?

Ms. Aulakh is a seasoned 2003-batch IAS officer of the Gujarat cadre. Currently serving as the Managing Director of GSPC, she has a track record of handling high-profile administrative and energy-related assignments in the Gujarat government. Her induction into the Petronet LNG board is expected to strengthen the synergy between the central LNG importer and the state's energy infrastructure.

The stock market has been notified of the change, and the formal induction process is expected to be completed in the coming days.
