New Delhi: The Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) has approved the appointment of Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh, an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer, as Group General Manager (Commercial & Operations) in Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR) on an immediate absorption basis, according to an official order issued on Tuesday.

Shri Singh, who is currently serving as Chief Passenger Transportation Manager (CPTM) in Northern Railway, has been cleared for the new role following a proposal forwarded by Northern Railway. The approval has been granted with the direction that the officer be relieved immediately to join CONCOR.

Technical Resignation Accepted

The competent authority has also accepted the technical resignation of Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh from Railway service. The resignation will take effect from the date he actually joins CONCOR and will be formally notified upon receipt of confirmation of his joining date.

Joining Timeline

As per the Railway Board order, the officer is required to join CONCOR within 15 days from the date of issue of the letter, in accordance with the applicable Department of Pension and Pensioners’ Welfare guidelines. In case the officer is unable to join CONCOR within the stipulated period, he has been directed to report back to the Railway Board within the same time frame.

Issuing Authority

The order has been issued with the approval of the competent authority and signed by Shri Bashekhar, Joint Secretary, Railway Board, Ministry of Railways.

Copies of the order have been forwarded to CONCOR, senior Railway Board officials, zonal railways, and the officer concerned for necessary action.
