Shri Uday Laxmandas Devi Takes Charge as GIC’s Chief Vigilance Officer
New Delhi: The General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC-Re) has assigned Shri Uday Laxmandas Devi as its new Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) on an additional charge basis. This appointment, effective from 29th December 2025, will continue until the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) decides on the transfer request of the CVO of Oriental Insurance Corporation Limited (OICL) or for a period of three months, whichever is earlier.
Shri Devi currently serves as the CVO of Oriental Insurance Corporation Limited and brings over 32 years of experience in banking, risk management, corporate credit, and treasury operations. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree, is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, and has completed CAIIB from the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF).
The appointment is part of GIC’s ongoing efforts to strengthen governance, transparency, and vigilance within the corporation. Shri Devi’s extensive experience in financial services and risk management is expected to enhance the corporation’s compliance framework and operational efficiency.
The disclosure is made in compliance with SEBI regulations under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
