BCCL Independent Director called on Coal Minister Pralhad Joshi
They discussed issues related to coal production and dispatched and others.

New Delhi: Bharat Coking Coal Limited's Independent Director, Smt. Shashi Singh today called on Hon'ble Minister of Coal Shri Pralhad Joshi. They discussed issues related to coal production, and dispatched and settled all public issues in coal-bearing areas to increase coal production and reduce imports.
The Coal India Limited subsidiary, Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) contributes 50% of the total prime coking coal requirement of the steel sector.
The Company operates 36 coal mines, which include eleven underground, sixteen open cast & nine mixed mines in the year 2020. The company runs eight coal washeries and four are under construction. Mines are grouped into thirteen areas for administratisation.
