IA&AS Officer Pravir Pandey repatriated to parent cadre for promotion benefit

According to government’s official notification Pravir Pandey (IA&AS: 1992), Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change has been repatriated to his parent cadre to avail the benefit of promotion.

Shri Pravir Pandey is a 1992 Batch Officer of the Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS)) and his parent organization is Comptroller and Audit General of India (CAG). 

He completed his Master’s degree from Delhi School of Economics in 1990; trained at Civil Service College, ASCOT, U.K. in 1997; did a second Masters in International Development Policy at Terry Sanford Institute of Public Policy at Duke University in 2007-2008; completed Certification Course in Public Private Partnership in Project Finance at Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University in 2015.

He has worked as Director, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India in 2002-2007 and then on various UN Assignments in London, Geneva, Manila and Riyadh before serving as the Auditor General of Uttarakhand from 2008 to 2011. He was then posted as Minister in the Embassy of India, Washington DC, U.S.A. from 2011-2014.
