BPCL sign agreement with Bounce Electric to retail electric 2-wheelers

New Delhi: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, India's petroleum refiners company has signed a pioneering agreement today with Bounce Electric 1 Private Limited to retail electric 2-wheelers from BPCL Fuel Stations. This initiative marks a significant milestone as the first of its kind in the oil industry.
The Agreement was signed by Mr. S. Kannan, Chief General Manager of Marketing, Retail and Mr. Anil Giri, Bounce Electric 1 Pvt Ltd. in the presence of Mr. Pardeep Goyal, Business Head, of Retail.

As the world undergoes an unprecedented transition from fossil fuels to alternative energy sources, BPCL is committed to addressing the challenges and capitalizing on the emerging opportunities within the electric vehicle (EV) sector.
Recognizing the potential in the retailing of electric 2-wheelers, especially given the limited dealership networks of new startups, BPCL introduces the innovative concept of multi-brand electric 2-wheeler showrooms under the brand name “eDrive”.

The company mentioned, " Our collaboration with Bounce, a reputed startup known for manufacturing and selling electric 2-wheelers, will allow them to benefit from our vast network, creating a mutually advantageous partnership."
This strategic alliance will not only strengthen BPC’s position in the EV value chain but also has the potential to disrupt traditional automobile marketing channels by establishing a new sales paradigm.
