HPCL and BPCL to go Ex-Dividend in August, final equity dividend declared
HPCL declared the 1:2 bonus share and fixed June 21 as the record date while BPCL also declared the 1:1 bonus issue and set June 22, 2024 as the record date.
Oil Marketing Companies and major PSUs, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd shares will go ex-dividend on August 9, 2024.
HPCL declared the 1:2 bonus share and fixed June 21 as the record date while BPCL also declared the 1:1 bonus issue and set June 22, 2024 as the record date.
As per the HPCL Dividend, "It is further informed that the aforesaid Final Equity Dividend of Rs.16.50 per equity share having face value of Rs. 10/- each (pre-bonus), which translates into final dividend of Rs. 11 per equity share having face value of Rs. 10/- each (post-bonus) for the Financial Year 2023-24, subject to the approval of the shareholders of the Company."

HPCL declared 35 dividends on July 27, 2000. Earlier, the oil PSU declared an equity dividend amounting to Rs 15.00 per share. At the current share price of Rs 376.45 per share, HPCL shares offer a dividend yield of 3.98%. Adjusting for Bonus/Splits the dividend yield is 2.66%.
BPCL Dividend, according to the latest exchange filing issued, "the Company has fixed Friday, 9th August 2024 as 'Record Date' to determine the eligibility of the members who would be entitled to the final dividend of Rs 10.5/- per equity share for the financial year 2023-24. The final dividend is subject to the approval of the Shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting (AGM) proposed to be held in August 2024. The date of the AGM will be informed separately. The final dividend, if approved, will be paid to the eligible members within the stipulated period of 30 days from the date of AGM."
