NRL signs MoU with IWT, will supply 80–100 Kiloliter of High Speed Diesel
Numaligargh Refinery Limited (NRL) signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Inland Water Transport (IWT), Government of Assam.

On June 26, the Oil India division, Numaligargh Refinery Limited (NRL) signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Inland Water Transport (IWT), Government of Assam. The MoU was signed for the continued supply of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) to two of IWT’s key supply locations - Nemati Ghat and Guwahati Ghat.
Numaligarh Refinery ensure the supply of 80–100 kiloliters of High Speed Diesel per month on a delivery basis, supporting the operation of essential ferry services.

Mr. R.M.W. Khongwir, CGM (Marketing) from NRL, and Ms. Sushmita Kakati, Director (IWT), Government of Assam signed the MoU, Officials from both organizations were presented.

These ferry services are a lifeline for the residents of Majuli. Additionally, NRL supplies HSD at Guwahati Ghat to power ferries connecting to the northern bank of the Brahmaputra.
