NSIC received Rs 67 crore LoA from RITES Limited

PM Vishwakarma, a Central Sector Scheme, was launched on 17th September 2023 by the Prime Minister to provide end-to-end support to artisans and craftspeople who work with their hands and tools.

NSIC received Rs 67 crore LoA from RITES Limited

The National Small Industries Corporation Limited has given the Letter of Acceptance for the engagement of RITES Limited as a Quality Assurance Agency for quality inspection of 18 trades of Toolkits under PM Vishwakarma Scheme, the company stated this in its BSE filing today.

"The order details are arranged in the sequence of the entity name that has awarded the order, which is The National Small Industries Corporation Limited. The significant terms and conditions of the order are briefly described as the engagement of RITES Limited as the Quality Assurance Agency for the quality inspection of 18 trades of Toolkits under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme.

The approximate value of the order is around Rs. 67.50 crores plus GST as applicable.

PM Vishwakarma, a Central Sector Scheme, was launched on 17th September 2023 by the Prime Minister to provide end-to-end support to artisans and craftspeople who work with their hands and tools. The Scheme covers artisans and craftspeople engaged in 18 trades, viz. Carpenter, Boat Maker, Armourer, Blacksmith (Lohar), Hammer and Tool Kit Maker, Locksmith, Goldsmith (Sonar), Potter (Kumhaar), Sculptor (Moortikar, stone carver), Stonebreaker, Cobbler, Shoesmith/Footwear artisan, Mason (Rajmistri), Basket/Mat/Broom Maker/Coir Weaver, Doll & Toy Maker (Traditional), Barber (Naai), Garland maker (Malakaar), Washerman (Dhobi), Tailor (Darzi) and Fishing Net Maker.
