REC conferred the PSE Excellence Award
New Delhi: REC Limited was conferred the runner up award for Corporate Governance (Maharatna & Navratna Category) at the 10th PSE Excellence Awards organized by Indian Chambers of Commerce (ICC).The award nominations witnessed more than 60 entries across various categories. The PSE Excellence Awards is an initiative by Indian Chamber of Commerce, since 2010, to acknowledge the game changers who have contributed immensely in shaping up the Indian economy and congratulate them for their contribution.
The award was given by Dr. Bhaskar Chatterjee, Former Secretary of Department of Public Enterprises (DPE) and Chief of the Jury Committee. The award ceremony was organized virtually and was attended by senior dignitaries from various CPSEs and the esteemed jury members.
REC Limited (formerly Rural Electrification Corporation Limited) is a Navratna NBFC focusing on Power Sector Financing and Development across India. Established in 1969, REC Limited has completed over fifty years in the area of its operations. It provides financial assistance across the power-sector value chain.
Apart from this, REC is also the nodal agency for Govt. of India flagship schemes in the Power sector like Deendayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY), Saubhagya, etc.
