GAIL and RailTel Sign Strategic MoU to Boost India’s Digital Infrastructure
New Delhi, 07 March 2026: GAIL (India) Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with RailTel Corporation of India Limited to collaborate in key areas of digital infrastructure development in India.
The agreement was signed by S. S. Agrawal, Executive Director (O&M-CO), GAIL, and J. S. Marwah, Company Secretary & General Manager (Law), RailTel, in the presence of senior leadership from both organizations.
The signing ceremony was attended by Rajeev Kumar Singhal, Director (Business Development), GAIL, and Sanjai Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of RailTel, along with other officials from both companies.
Focus on Energy and Digital Integration
Commenting on the partnership, Deepak Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director of GAIL, said the collaboration aligns with the company’s long-term strategy.
“This partnership is fully in sync with our vision to integrate energy and digital infrastructure, leveraging the transformative potential of artificial intelligence (AI), all of which are pivotal to India’s development journey,” he said.
The collaboration will allow both organizations to combine their infrastructure capabilities and technological expertise to accelerate digital connectivity initiatives across the country.

Speaking on the development, Sanjai Kumar, CMD of RailTel, emphasized the importance of reliable communication infrastructure.
