New Delhi: The Ministry of Civil Aviation is closely monitoring the evolving West Asia airspace situation affecting air travel between India and several countries in the region. Authorities said airlines are making operational adjustments to ensure passenger safety and smooth flight operations.
According to the ministry, Indian airlines are continuing flights from major airports in the region while closely assessing the situation.
50 Flights Planned for March 9
Officials said that Indian carriers are planning to operate around 50 flights on March 9, 2026, depending on operational feasibility and prevailing airspace conditions.

Flights Operated on March 7 and 8
Passenger movement data released by the government shows that 51 inbound flights arrived in India on March 7, carrying 8,175 passengers from the West Asia region.
For March 8, 2026, Indian airlines had scheduled 49 inbound flights from several regional airports.
