SJVN CMD Bhupender Gupta Dedicates Solar Rooftop Plant at Rampur HPS

Rampur, March 2026: SJVN Limited Chairman & Managing Director Bhupender Gupta, along with Director (Personnel) Ajay Kumar Sharma, visited Rampur Hydro Power Station (HPS) today to review operations and inaugurate a new solar energy initiative.

The dignitaries were welcomed by Head of Project, Rampur HPS, Vikas Marwah, who briefed them on the functioning, operations, and maintenance of the project.

PM Surya Ghar Initiative Strengthens Green Energy Footprint

During the visit, CMD **Bhupender Gupta dedicated a 30 kWp PV-based solar rooftop plant installed at the Project Hospital, Rampur HPS, under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojna. This installation will supplement existing renewable energy infrastructure, including:

• 172 kWp Solar Rooftop PV Plant at Rampur HPS Colony

• 60 kWp Solar Plant at the Valve House

The new solar plant further strengthens SJVN Limited’s commitment to renewable and green energy.

Encouraging Excellence and Sustainability

In his address, CMD Bhupender Gupta praised the remarkable progress of Rampur HPS and encouraged employees to continue their dedicated efforts so that the project sets new benchmarks in the hydroelectric sector.

As a symbolic gesture of environmental conservation, the CMD and Director (Personnel) also planted saplings at the project site, reinforcing SJVN’s focus on sustainability.
