NTPC Green Energy Adds 91.6 MW to Ayana Kadapa Solar Project in Andhra Pradesh
New Delhi, March 9, 2026: NTPC Green Energy Limited has declared commercial operation of 91.6 MW capacity of the 250 MW Ayana Kadapa Solar PV Project located in Andhra Pradesh, according to a certificate issued by the Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited (SECI) dated March 9, 2026.
This solar project is developed under Ayana Kadapa Renewable Power Private Limited, a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd., which is itself a wholly owned subsidiary of the joint venture ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited.
Incremental Capacity Addition
The first part of the project with 158.4 MW capacity had been declared commercially operational earlier, as per the company’s disclosure on February 20, 2026. With this second phase of 91.6 MW, the total commercial capacity of the NTPC Green Energy Limited group has increased from 9201.08 MW to 9292.68 MW.
Group’s Renewable Energy Growth
The addition of this solar capacity strengthens NTPC Green Energy’s presence in renewable energy, expanding its footprint in solar power projects across India. This capacity contributes to the group’s commitment to sustainable energy and India’s renewable energy targets.
The announcement was made through an official communication signed by Manish Kumar, Company Secretary & Compliance Officer, NTPC Green Energy Limited. The company’s shares are listed on the National Stock Exchange (Symbol: NTPCGREEN) and the BSE (Scrip Code: 544289).
