Spot visit of the Employment Review Committee, Assam Legislative Assembly at NTPC Bongaigaon
Shri Subrata Mandal, ED, NTPC Bongaigaon took the team to various areas of the plant along with Shri T.Ravinder, GM (O&M), Shri Umesh Singh, GM (FM and Maintenance) and other senior officials of the station.
New Delhi: A thirteen-member team comprising six MLAs of Assam Legislative Assembly as a part of the Employment Review Committee, Govt of Assam today made a spot visit to NTPC Bongaigaon and examined the activities of the power station.
The Hon'ble MLA's Shri L. Islary, Kokrajhar East Constituency and Chairman of the Committee,Shri Rupak Sharma, Nowgong Constituency, Shri Sibu Mishra, Lumding Constituency, Shri Suren Phukan, Digboi. Constituency, Shri Prithivi Raj Rava, Tezpur constituency ,Shri Jayanta Basumatary,Sidli constituency in the presence of Shri R.Bhattacharya, Joint Secy, Assam Legislative Assembly and other Joint Secretary of various Departments, Govt of Assam reviewed the various activities of the station along Shri Prateek Gupta, Addl. Deputy Commissioner, Kokrajhar .

The Hon’ble MLAs visited the TG Hall, Control Room, Roof Top Solar Plant of NTPC Bongaigaon and understood the mechanism of power plant generation and also the company’s initiatives towards renewables and sustainability. The committee members expressed satisfaction on the work done by the power station towards the local community and urged NTPC management to continue to work towards the development of the area keeping in mind the local needs and aspirations.

Shri A.K.Chawla, AGM (HR), Shri A.K.Datta, AGM (TS), Shri V.K.Sharma, AGM (MM), Shri D.Kar, AGM (EMD), Shri Shashi Shekhar, AGM(HR), Shri A M Chaudhury, AGM (C&I) also accompanied the team during the visit.
NTPC was a part of the visit of the team who will be reviewing various organisations of both private and public sector of Kokrajhar,Chirang and Bongaigaon during their ongoing visit on 13th and 14th Sept,2021.
