AAI commissions new Category-I Instrument Landing System at Udaipur Airport
In continuation to enhance the Air Navigation Services infrastructure at Airports within Indian airspace, AAI has commissioned new Category-I Instrument Landing System (ILS) at AAI’s Udaipur Airport. This state-of-the-art ILS replaced the previous ILS which has completed its recommended lifespan, this is as part of the ongoing efforts to continually upgrade aviation facilities.
This Instrument Landing System (ILS) is highly accurate and dependable means of navigating to the runway in Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) conditions.
The ILS provides the lateral and vertical guidance required for a precision approach. When all components of ILS are available, including the approved approach procedure, the pilot may execute a precision approach.
