BCCL Achieves Highest Single-Day Coal Dispatch of FY 2026-27

Dhanbad: Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) recorded its highest single-day coal dispatch of the current financial year on 6 September 2026, dispatching 1,20,557 tonnes of coal.

The achievement was supported by the loading of 29 rakes in a single day, of which 25 rakes were sent to the power sector — the highest single-day power-sector rake loading by the company this year.

The milestone was achieved under the leadership of CMD Shri Manoj Kumar Agarwal as part of BCCL’s focused efforts to strengthen coal supplies to power plants and meet rising demand.

Officials attributed the performance to better planning, close coordination between teams, and efficient coal evacuation systems across the company’s operations.

BCCL, a Miniratna subsidiary of Coal India Limited and India’s largest coking coal producer, continues to prioritise timely and adequate coal supply to the power sector while maintaining operational efficiency.
