Mumbai, 24th February 2026: Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL), a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Defence, has officially announced the cessation of tenure of Shri Jashwant Lal, Part-time Non-Official Independent Director, effective 24th February 2026.

Shri Lal joined the BDL Board as an Independent Director on 24th February 2023 under the appointment order referenced DDP-M0001(11)/1/2018/D(BDL). His three-year tenure concluded in line with the terms of his appointment.

 

Role and Contributions

During his tenure, Shri Lal contributed significantly to BDL’s corporate governance and strategic oversight. As an Independent Director, he played a vital role in:

  • Board oversight and governance: Ensuring that the company adhered to regulatory requirements and corporate governance standards.

  • Strategic guidance: Offering independent insights into the company’s operational and financial strategies.

  • Compliance and regulatory matters: Supporting the board in monitoring compliance with SEBI and Ministry of Defence guidelines.

Shri Lal’s term completion aligns with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, which mandates prompt disclosure of key changes in the Board of Directors of listed companies.
