BHEL receives adjudication order

New Delhi: Government-owned Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has announced the exchanges that it has received an adjudication order from Assistant Commissioner (ST), Commercial Tax Department, Telangana.

The Type of communication received is Adjudication Order dated 31.12.2025 received under section 73 of CGST Act/ TGST Act, 2017.

The summary of the communication cited in respect to demand raised vide Show Cause Notice for FY 2021-22 amounting to Rs. 184.55 Cr., reported on 19.09.25, and while order has been passed by Adjudicating Authority in favour of BHEL, dropping demand amounting to Rs.183.77Cr along with interest & penalty.

There is no expected financial implication as the case is strong on merits and an appeal shall be filed before Appellate Authorities for the balance demand of Rs. 1.43 Cr (comprising Demand of Rs. 0.78 Cr, Interest Rs. 0.58 Cr and Penalty of Rs. 0.07 Cr).
