Mumbai, February 1, 2026 – In a significant top-level management rejig, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), a Maharatna PSU, has announced the superannuation of a key executive and the promotion of nine senior employees to the position of Executive Director (ED), effective today.

Shri Anilkumar P., Executive Director In-Charge (Biofuels), has superannuated from the company's services as of January 31, 2026. His departure marks the exit of a senior leader from the burgeoning biofuels vertical.
Major Promotions – A New Leadership Cohort:
Marking a generational shift in leadership, BPCL has elevated nine high-performing executives to the role of Executive Director, one level below the Board of Directors. This strategic move is seen as an effort to bolster its senior management bench strength across key business units.

Shri Akash Tiwari – To lead Consumer Retailing. One of the most academically diverse leaders on the list, he holds an MBA from IIFT and has experience in Aviation, Retail, Lubricants, and even a deputation as CEO of a subsidiary.

Shri Manoj Menon – Now ED for Industrial & Commercial (I&C). With a background in Marketing and Physics, he has handled Retail, LPG Sales, and I&C operations.

Shri Rouf Mohd Khan – Heads the Gas Business Unit. A Civil Engineer from NIT Trichy with an executive management diploma from SPJIMR, he has worked across E&P, Retail, and Gas divisions.

Shri Ravi R Sahay – Takes over Retail. An Electrical Engineer from NIT Warangal and an SPJIMR alumnus, his portfolio includes PR, Corporate Strategy, LPG, and Retail.

Shri Mohit Bhatia – Appointed as Director (Commercial) at Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL), a key BPCL subsidiary. He brings experience from LPG, Retail, and a prior deputation to IGL.
