GIC Re Appoints Uday Laxmandas Devi as Chief Vigilance Officer Until 2028

New Delhi: General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC Re) on Friday announced a key change in its senior management, with the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) approving the transfer of Shri Uday Laxmandas Devi as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of the corporation. The appointment takes immediate effect and will remain valid for the remaining tenure up to August 30, 2028, or until further orders.

The decision follows an earlier interim arrangement under which Shri Devi, who was serving as CVO at Oriental Insurance Company Limited (OICL), had been given additional charge of CVO at GIC Re from December 29, 2025. With the latest communication from the Ministry of Finance, the CVC has now formally approved his transfer to GIC Re on a full-time basis.
