Govt Nominee Director Smt. Arti Bhatnagar Retires from STC Limited Board

Mumbai: Smt. Arti Bhatnagar, Special Secretary and Financial Advisor, and Government Nominee Director on the Board of The State Trading Corporation of India Limited (STC Limited), has stepped down as a Director of the company after her retirement from government service.

The State Trading Corporation of India Limited, a Government of India Enterprise, notified the stock exchanges (BSE and NSE) about the director change on October 1, 2025.

According to the notice, Smt. Bhatnagar retired from the Government of India, following a notification from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, on the afternoon of September 30, 2025. As a result, she also left her position as Director of STC Limited effective the same date.

The official communication, signed by Mr. Vipin Tripathi, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, stated that the notice was made under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Smt. Bhatnagar served as the Government Nominee Director on the Board, bringing significant experience from her role as Special Secretary and Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Her departure signifies a change in the governance structure of the public sector undertaking.

Ms. Arti Bhatnagar is a Civil Servant of the Indian Defence Accounts Service of the 1990 batch. She is presently working as Special Secretary & Financial Adviser, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Ministry of Heavy Industry and Ministry of MSME. She has a post graduate degree in Economics and M.Phil in Defence Strategic Studies from Madras University.

Ms. Bhatnagar is an alumni of the National Defence College. With about 25 years of experience in dealing with Finance, Accounts and Audit of the Defence Forces, her expertise is in handling defence acquisition and procurement contracts.

Ms. Bhatnagar has worked as Joint Secretary (Security), Cabinet Secretariat handling SPG for five years. She has also worked as a Chief Vigilance Officer for Air India, Pawan Hans Ltd. and Airport Authority of India
