Mazagon Dock Independent Director Chandu Sambasiva Rao Resigns
New Delhi: Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited has informed stock exchanges that Shri Chandu Sambasiva Rao has resigned from his position as Independent Director of the company with effect from January 23, 2026.
In a disclosure filed under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015, the government-owned defence shipbuilder stated that the resignation was tendered due to personal and unavoidable circumstances. The company clarified that there were no material reasons for the resignation other than those mentioned by the director.
Mazagon Dock further confirmed that the resignation has been taken on record by the Board and that the director has ceased to hold office from January 23, 2026. The disclosure has been submitted to both BSE and the National Stock Exchange of India, where the company’s shares are listed.
The shipyard also noted that additional information as required under Schedule III of the SEBI Listing Regulations will be submitted in due course. Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited is a Government of India undertaking and plays a key role in India’s naval and defence shipbuilding ecosystem.
